Let customers speak for us
from 98 reviewsThis book helps me so much when planning merchant encounters for my players! The quick overviews of the magic merchants comes so handy in gameplay situations (planned or improvised). You are still able to tweak and modify e.g. the inventory for the current campaign and so on, but all the main building blocks and more are already there for you! Loving the shop security!!
Determining prices for magical items isn't always easy. This book solves the problem, or at least makes it a lot easier! And the additional shops, shopkeepers and even ways to create your own make for a fine addition to any GM's (digital) collection.
These are great, I would love to have a digital version though
I had decided a while back to get the DnD item cards to help my players know/remember what items they have. This adds a great deal of new items they can find in the world. I personally prefer these over the official item cards by a long shot.
Finding these inspired me to come up with a Pandora's Box type situation for my player's. Don't open the box or you will be afflicted with one of the evils of the world, but if you do you get to crack a pack of cards with items. Who doesn't love to open packs of cards?! It's the ultimate bait.
Awesome lovely product.
I worked this into our overall campaign by having the druid from "Lost Mines of Phandelver" (that's how we started) find my character as they were leaving Neverwinter. A little, "Hey, how ya been? Mind if you give me a hand... " convo and they were off. They absolutely loved interacting with the sprites and felt like they had to take out all of the giants themselves. I set it up so they were unsure of whether or not the dragon was safe by leaving out that it was a fey dragon. Made for some nice suspense. The entire module works really well and is a fun one off that you can easily scale up or down for your group.
The only caveats I had are minor: there's no scale on the map but context clues say it's the usual 5' per square. Additionally, there's no DC rating for finding the tripwire on the bridge but so it be. I set what I thought was fun and fair. Lastly, and this might just be my ignorance, the cloaker is described as being willing to tell the party about what to expect from the giants but cloakers only speak Deep Speech and Undercommon so...
I will buy everything that they put out, it's all quality products that is made extremely well, the books are amazing, the content and artwork is always perfect. And it means a lot to be able to have a PDF and hardcover bundle. Not every website does this which is a little surprising considering it's 2023 and it should be a standard
Great product!
This is some of the best content for dnd since Kobold Press and Loot Tavern. This stuff is so good for any game with a cleric or about gods.
Very useful, always great when you buy book and they include PDF. The content is great
This PDF is the best thing that ever happened to every campaing. As a DM, do you want to know how much each item costs? Do you consider items such "Cloak of Elvenkind" to be underpriced for its value? Then, this is the P E R F E C T book for you. It contains prices, items and such, while giving merchants and ideas for your campgaing. There are also bargaining methods. Just throw 1 merchant every 4 days of adventuring or something. They also wander through your world, so your party can encounter them in different locations. Each one of them has something of a quest. Some are harder than others, but all give items or discounts on the price lists. This it the PDF that I have always opened in my sessions.
This book is simply amazing for every DM that has a heavily religious setup. The subclasses are awesome, the whole religous concept is well written and the stat blocks of deities are very interesting. Also, the PDF provides us with some monster stat blocks, focused on the celestial theme. If you want to make your own pantheon, or if you want to use any of the already provided cults, this book is for you.
I have played with the material yet but I love the subclasses (Templar ftw). I appreciate the level of detail that went into making the religions for a lack of better words feel real. The give examples for holidays, idioms npcs can say, and how devotion might work. Such cool details
A beautiful and very useful and usable book
